Remembering Julie Rose: A Lasting Legacy in Ohio EMS
In Remembrance of Julie Rose
The Ohio Ambulance and Medical Transport Association (OAMTA) mourns the passing of Julie Rose, a respected leader, dedicated advocate, and longtime champion of Ohio’s ambulance and medical transportation industry.

Julie dedicated more than 35 years to mobile healthcare, leaving an extraordinary legacy of leadership and service. As the founding CEO of Community Care Ambulance in Ashtabula, she worked tirelessly to ensure that communities throughout northeastern Ohio, including rural communities, had access to high-quality emergency and non-emergency medical transportation. Her commitment to the people and communities she served was matched by her dedication to advancing the EMS profession at the state and national levels.
Julie’s impact extended far beyond her work in Ohio. Through decades of service with the American Ambulance Association, she helped shape the future of our profession through leadership, advocacy, and a steadfast commitment to strengthening the role of ambulance services within our healthcare system. Her service as president of the Ohio Ambulance and Medical Transportation Association further reflects her lasting influence on our organization and the industry we represent.
Julie understood that ambulance services are an essential part of our healthcare infrastructure and dedicated her career to ensuring that our profession had a strong voice. Her leadership, passion, and unwavering advocacy helped pave the way for those who continue this important work today.
On behalf of OAMTA, we extend our deepest condolences to Julie’s family, friends, colleagues, and all those whose lives she touched. We are grateful for her many contributions to our association and the EMS community. Her legacy will endure through the people she mentored, the communities she served, and the profession she worked so tirelessly to advance.
